i just read the papers today, and discovered that our school was yet again mentioned in the GEN Y article.
its about whether elite schools matter or not. and bukit panjang govt high school was mentioned quite alot of times.
was quite skeptical to see our school's name there. does that mean we are nothing better than a neighbourhood school? is that a way of telling us bp students that we are no different from other neighbourhood school students?
oh please. i beg to differ.
we are loads better than neighbourhood schools, no offence. that is just my point of view. we have achievements in all areas, especially our niches, and i can proudly say that we are on the same par as branded schools.
although, our results cannot be compared to them, but i think our chracter development wont be any less than theirs.
it is just that our school's students dont really take seize the oppotunity to hone their charcter and their leadership skills. those who do know how to use the chance, they do better.
and they achieve more.
it just happens that those in elite schools were brought up to know to recognise and grab those chances.
and.. we arent.
but no matter what, we are still good. we have it, just that we dont know how to use it. or flaunt it.
